Working on a graphic novel

It's been awhile, but no worries, I'm still alive and kicking (and drawing of course).

A couple of months ago, I started to work on a graphic novel, that has been keeping me busy and taking all of my time and will continue to do so well into next year. So there hasn't been much anything else going on. I teamed up with writer Samuli Arkko and I'm illustrating a graphic novel which he has written. The graphic novel is a part of Samuli's book, which combines prose and sequential art.

It's been a real treat to be able to concentrate on this thing only, these kind of long projects don't happen too often in freelancer's life. So at least for a year, I'll be just drawing this graphic novel, and I couldn't be happier. Every day that I already have spent with this project, has assured me that yes, this is something I really want to do, this is someting I need to do at this time.

I'll start posting some drawings, as soon as I get to the point where I'll start drawing the final artwork. At the moment I'm drawing sketches of page layouts and finding the right composition for the text and pictures. But I'll start pouring here some sketches too at some point. Soon, I promise.

So I hope you haven't abandoned me or this blog yet, lots of stuff has been bubbling under this blogging silence. I'll tell you more about it next time.
